What RG Séances asks Google for, why, and what it does not do.
RG Séances links the site administrator’s Google Calendar to its booking form. The application does not read the content of the calendar: it only asks Google which time slots are busy, then adds (and removes if needed) the appointments it created itself.
| Google scope | Exact use | Why it is necessary |
|---|---|---|
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.freebusy | Queries the availability service (“freeBusy”) on the chosen calendar: the application only receives busy time slots (start and end), never the content of events. | Without it, a client could book a slot when the organiser is already busy. |
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events | Creates an event for each confirmed session (inviting the person and adding a Google Meet link), then deletes that event if the session is cancelled. | Add the session to the calendar, send the invitation and generate the video link automatically. |
Only the site administrator, from the application’s settings screen, with the Google account that holds their calendar. People who book a session do not use Google to identify themselves.
RG Séances’ use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
